Life is difficult, and complicated, and beyond anyone’s total control, and the humility to know that will enable you to survive its vicissitudes. (인생은 어렵고, 복잡하다. 누가 인생을 완벽히 통제할수있단 말인가? 이것을 아는 겸손함이야말로 이 변화무쌍한 우리의 삶에서 우리를 지탱케해준다)
Life is not easy. Life is tough. Life is simply out of our control. Your friends may look happy without any problems. Your problem may look the heaviest. Sometimes, it might seem there is no way out of it. However, it’s not only you. Your friends, neighbors may feel the same way.
We are all helpless, not knowing what to do with our problems. We pray for God’s mercy and help. In our reality, what can we do to survive this tough life? Probably, we’d better get out of ourselves and reach out to our friends and neighbors. Why? Because life is difficult for everybody. Not just for you. Everyone is under heavy burdens. Sometimes, we’d better open up ourselves and get encouraged by comforting words from our friends, and vice versa. I remember
the famous pop artist, Eric Clapton’s song, Give me strength, which goes like this,
“Dear Lord, give me strength to carry on.
Dear Lord, give me strength to carry on.
My home may be out on the highway,
Lord, I’ve done so much wrong
But please, give me strength to carry on.”
